Please be advised that the Shelby Water Department will be conducting a scheduled washout and maintenance of the Water Tower on Wednesday, 11/5/2025 and will last 24 hours.
This work is necessary to ensure the continued safety, quality, and reliability of our community's water supply system.
During this period, residents may experience:
TEMPORARY LOW WATER PRESSURE
DISCOLORED OR CLOUDY WATER (HARMLESS AND TEMPORARY)
INTERMITTENT SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS IS SOME AREAS
To minimize inconvenience:
PLEASE AVOID DOING LAUNDRY OR USING LARGE AMOUNTS OF WATER DURING WASHOUT PERIOD.
IF DISCOLORATION OCCURS, RUN COLD WATER FOR SEVERAL MINUTES UNTIL IT CLEARS
WATER REMAINS SAFE TO USE; THIS IS A ROUTINE MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE.
